If ever a dress actually looked like a party, this ASOS Swing Dress is it! The loose fit ensures you can show off your best dance moves without restriction, the color is fresh and modern (and a little unexpected since black is the more popular choice for formalwear) and it's loaded with light-reflecting sequins. How fun! --Angel
An LWD (little white dress) is a must this time of year and we love this Dolce & Gabbana number on The Great Gatsby actress Isla Fisher. The star arrived at the Cannes Film Festival wearing this breezy, girly dress (really, doesn't it just scream summertime), along with gold Jamie Wolf earrings and black Roger Vivier peep toe pumps. Paired with her famous auburn locks and a pretty, perfectly red pout, this look is all-at-once polished and playful. --Angel
Whether you're wearing your hair straight, in an updo, or with massive curls for the big night, your prom hairstyle will look prettier and healthier if it shines and shimmers in the light. To get glossy strands, use a shine serum or mist. We like Oscar Blandi Jasmine Oil Hair Serum--it smells heavenly, fights frizz, and protects from heat damage. Use it on damp hair before blowdrying to keep your tresses protected, or use on dry hair for super shiny, silky strands. --Angel
The silhouette (almost Grecian, no?), the color (the palest of blues), and the beading (we love a dose of sparkle) make this gorgeous Adrianna Papell Beaded One Shoulder Gown so perfect for prom. It's glamorous--so glamorous--but in a way that's subtle and vintage-looking. --Angel
Last night's Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art was a true clash of styles, as the theme for the evening was Punk: Chaos to Couture. There were some looks that were anything but punk, but there were also mohawks (or at least mohawk-inspired updos), dresses made out of netting, and of course, leather. Here are some of the looks we loved most. --Angel
Zoe Saldana has caught the attention of a lot of bloggers and fashion editors lately for her impeccable style while she promotes her latest film, Star Trek Into the Darkness. At the London premiere of the film, the star donned a black and white gown from Vionnet and peeptoe Christian Louboutins, a look that we just had to post. We love this showstopping look for it's dramatic color contrast and silhouette, as well as the art deco-inspired embroidery. Saldana paired the look with the reddest of red lips (brilliant) and sleek, wavy hair.
