As much as we love color, we're always happy to see any incarnation of the classic LBD. This version, a sheer sheath with raw edge detailing by Chanel, is both elegant and playful, and we love how it looks on Bridesmaids actress Rose Byrne for a night out in New York. We also love that the star didn't shy away from keeping the entire look glamorous. From her lovely, oversized updo to her beautiful, bold red pout, and don't think we didn't see the stunners sparkling in her ears, Rose is a knockout. And with those classic Sergio Rossi pumps and that dazzling geometric bag, she looks like she stepped right out of another era. Flawless! --Angel
Jennifer Garner took to the red carpet last night to support her hubby Ben Affleck's new film, Argo, but from the look of her fiery red Monique Lhuillier gown, we're guessing all eyes were on her and not her significant other. The red crepe stunner was from Lhuillier's Fall 2012 collection, and featured red leather straps that curved down around the actress' hips, creating a contour detail. And since the dress itself was such a showstopper, Jen wisely didn't go for fussy hair and makeup, but instead kept it simple with a nude lip and shiny hair that let the gown be the star of the show.

Television and its stars were lauded on Sunday evening at the 64th Annual Emmy Awards, and as always, the silver screen's biggest names showed up in the fashion industry's biggest names. It was hard to choose, but we managed to put together a list of a few favorites. --Angel
Padma Lakshmi took our breath away in this stunning orange number by FIDM Grad-turned-red carpet designer Monique Lhuillier. We couldn't have picked a more perfect gown for the television host; the color and silhouette seem to have been made just for her.
We don't typically see acid yellow gowns on such a formal red carpet, but then again, Monique Lhuillier didn't design this gown to be hidden in the back of the closet! Modern Family star Julie Bowen chose it for the big night and looked flawless, especially with her playful half updo.
Ginnifer Goodwin also wore Monique Lhuillier, and landed on several best dressed lists because of it. The red flame pattern over champagne frock boasted a classic silhouette that had a romantic vintage look, but was at the same time fresh and modern.
There wasn't an abundance of glittery gowns on the red carpet this year, but Kerry Washington's draped Vivienne Westwood number was one of the best we saw. She really brought the drama with an all over sequined gown in a blush hue that reflected every camera flash as she walked the carpet.
Girls actress Allison Williams was a red carpet hit in jewel tone Oscar de la Renta. The dramatic, emerald colored, strapless gown featured an on-trend peplum and origami folds at the bust. Fred Leighton jewels completed her look.
Prints are sometimes hard to pull off on the red carpet (they tend to look less formal) but we think Modern Family star Ariel Winter nailed it with this printed Katherine Kidd frock. The high-low hem were right on trend and showed off her Brian Atwood platforms nicely.
Suburgatory's Jane Levy chose the perfect color to complement her auburn locks. The drapey silhouette and wide cap sleeves of her cobalt Pamela Roland gown gave the look a slight Grecian feel, and diamond jewels added a bit of Hollywood glamour.
FIDM Grad Monique Lhuillier is a favorite among Hollywood's brightest stars, and for good reason--her gowns photograph well on the red carpet and are almost always guaranteed to land the latest "It" girl on a best-dressed list. For Spring 2013, Lhuillier was inspired by water, as evidenced by the watery blue palette, light, flowing gowns, sparkling cocktail dresses, and aquatic digital prints that showed up on both frocks and separates. As usual, all the looks were stunning, but we were particularly taken with a koi fish printed cocktail dress and a dramatic black tulle gown. Here, fifteen of the looks we can't wait to see on the red carpet! --Angel
It's not that we don't love Zoe Saldana, because we absolutely do, but when we saw this picture we hardly noticed the The Words actress because we were distracted by those delicate, fluttery, oh-so-pretty sleeves. We simply adore a sleeve with a girlish puff, a flirty flutter, or sweet little cap, and these glorious sleeves--layered, fluttery, and pleated--are nothing less than perfection. And the color of Ms. Saldana's Goddess of Sleeves, plunging, pleated Gucci gown is beyond stunning and so flattering on her. What's more, her manicure, which appears to be the color of smoky quartz, seems to match her eye makeup, and she's smiling what is possibly the prettiest smile ever. --Angel
Braids ruled the summer, but that doesn't mean you can't wear them this fall as you head back to school. Here are five braided styles that are so pretty, you'll want to rock them all year. --Angel
Sparkle star Jordin Sparks' boho braid couldn't be simpler or more fetching, with a few face-framing curls loose to give the braid a breezy feel, and a chunky, gently loosened braid which she pulled around to the front. A sparkling headband or colorful flower would make it festive for Homecoming.
We just love a fishtail braid, and Blake Lively's high pony makes this one all at once playful and chic. The front is sleek with just a touch of volume, while the fishtail braid is slightly mussed--a beautiful dichotomy. Also, the sparkling hair accessory is perfection.
How do you take a humble braid to the next level? Loop it, twist it, and weave it with other braids to create an intricate updo like True Blood actress Anna Paquin. This style positively screams glamour, and is so stunning and textural, it needs no hair accessories to complete it.
Glee star Lea Michele's half-done-half-undone braid looks as easy and carefree as it is to pull off (it starts off as an extremely loose side French braid, but ends up in a haphazard braid at the tail). Somehow this devil-may-care style is incredibly fetching for a big night out -- Homecoming perhaps?
Freida Pinto's polished plaits are a great way to add interest to a classic chignon or low ponytail. Instead of loose and slightly unkempt, the actress kept it smooth, sleek, and shiny, with two very neat French braids going down either side of her head and ending in a low bun--simple yet stunning!

This may be one of our favorite looks, like, ever. From head to toe, Olivia Palermo nailed it at the Valentino haute couture show in Paris. Let's start at the top--Palermo gave her shoulder-length locks a Bardot-esque, '60s vibe with just the right amount of volume at the top. Then she kept her makeup clean and pretty; no outrageous colors or dramatic smoky eyes, just a fresh, glowing face with mod-inspired lined eyes and a dark pink lip. Now on to the dress, that terrifically sweet little Valentino frock. It's sheer, it's pink, and it's lacy, therefore it's pretty much perfect. And can we just say how pleased we are with her cherry red mani, and not the predictable pale pink or nude that we usually see with pink outfits. Finally, we're crazy about the shoes: embellished Giuseppe Zanotti heels that lend an edgy rock'n'roll feel to the girliness of her dress. It's an unexpected finish that totally works. --Angel
As menswear-inspired pieces go, we're used to seeing them in menswear-inspired colors--browns, blacks, creams, navies, and the occasional pop of red or yellow. To our utter delight we uncovered this photo of the beautiful and ever-stylish Diane Kruger sporting a tuxedo-inspired frock by 3.1 Philip Lim that is neither brown nor black, but instead a sweet pastel hue. To complement the sheath, Kruger donned simple white sandals and a bold pink pedi. The model-turned-actress left her signature golden strands long and loose, and finished the look with soft eye makeup and a rose-hued lip. Gorgeous! --Angel
