Love the Look: Kate Bosworth

It goes without saying that the LBD is the quintessential party frock, so naturally we were drawn to this pic of actress Kate Bosworth rocking this ladylike design from Oscar de la Renta. It's simply stunning, and by that we mean it's stunning in its simplicity. The illusion neckline, the classic silhouette (so flattering, yes?), the waist-cinching belt... it's all so perfect. And speaking of perfection, how about that hair? It is so perfectly coiffed it looks photoshopped (and we mean that in the best way possible). Sleek and shiny, with just a hint of a Veronica Lake wave at the ends. It looks beautiful with her clean, fresh face and bold red lips.  So polished and so pretty!

Besides the cute new haircut that sent bloggers and the Twittersphere into a frenzy, we love this dress on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire actress and Hollywood darling Jennifer Lawrence (she rocked it to the GLAAD Media Awards recently). The sculpted LBD by designer David Koma perfectly matches the playfulness of her new hair, plus the sheer panels in the front and back, along with the dropped waist lend a freshness to a classic look. Rounding out the look are ultra-feminine, two-tone sandals and a flawless makeup combo--a smoky eye paired with a nude lip.

Prom Style Icon: Lisa Bonet

From her waist-long dreadlocks to her carefree style, actress Lisa Bonet is the epitome of bohemian beauty. Best known for her role as Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show, Lisa, who now goes by Lilakoi Moon, is just as famous for her eclectic taste in fashion and natural beauty as she is for her acting.  Though she hasn't appeared on the small or big screen in years, the star still makes red carpet appearances in her signature natural-looking makeup and vintage-inspired layered clothes.

Just like her mother (that's right, Lisa Bonet is her mom and rocker Lenny Kravitz is her dad), Zoe Kravitz pulls off the boho princess look like no one else can. The beautiful, young star expertly mixes different volumes and textures, wearing fitted leather one day and flowy chiffon the next.

But the star of Sullivan's Travels, This Gun for Hire, and The Glass Key was as famous for her signature peek-a-boo hairstyle--her gorgeous blond waves often fell in front of her right eye--as she was for her femme fatale movie roles. Today, the sultry siren is given credit for the glossy, wavy hairstyles we often see on red carpets--the style has been dubbed "Veronica Lake waves."

Like Veronica Lake, actress Blake Lively's long, blond hair is almost as famous as the star herself. She's adopted a seductive persona, showing up on red carpets in curve-hugging dresses or even short suits to show off her legs, that is every bit the modern-day femme fatale.
