Prom may be over and school might be ending soon, but there are still plenty of special occasions to dress up for this summer. Here are a two ways you can look cool (and beat the heat) in a suit this season. --Angel

Linen
Highly absorbent (to keep that pesky sweating under control) and cool to the touch, linen is a summertime must, especially since many of the season's special occasions take place outdoors.

Seersucker
There's a reason seersucker is such a warm weather essential--it's incredibly thin and woven in a way that keeps it way from the body, allowing for better air circulation.

Get the Trend: Skinny Ties

The skinny tie look is so on-trend now (you can thank Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin for making it stylish in the first place). Just make sure to get a shirt with a shrunken collar so you don't have any gaps. --Angel

Dressy Jeans for Guys

Guys, you can rock jeans to Homecoming. Just follow these simple rules:

1. Pair them with a stylish button-front shirt, a preppy sweater vest, or even a tie and blazer.
2. Don't wear anything too baggy (try a straight leg or boot cut).
3. Skip the distressed details, holes, whiskering, embroidery, patches, acid wash, etc.
4. Pick a dark wash -- it looks the most polished. The only exception would be a crisp, clean, white jean, which look awesome with a white shirt, cardigan, and your favorite tie.
