We sometimes think that picking our favorite red carpet looks from the Academy Awards is as difficult a task as actually selecting who will win the Oscars (we know it's not, of course, but it is hard). We've managed to narrow it down...sorta. --Angel
Bridesmaids actresses Kristen Wiig and Rose Byrne proved that funny girls are hot (or is it the other way around?). Wiig chose a gorgeous, nude tulle gown by J. Mendel for the evening. And we love that she paired the pale dress with a dark manicure (Chanel Le Vernis in Black Satin!). Byrne also looked stunning, wearing a sequined, one-shoulder design by Vivienne Westwood.
The Help's Viola Davis's Vera Wang creation was absolute perfection--the perfect color (especially with the Best Actress nominee's auburn hair) and the perfect sihouette. And her choice of accessories--a sparkling diamond cuff and silver box clutch, perfect!
There is nothing we don't love about Best Actress nominee Michelle William's red carpet look. The My Week with Marilyn star wore a brilliant poppy-hued Louis Vuitton gown and paired it with a sweet, pink Bottega Venetta clutch.
The Descendants star and Best Actor nominee George Clooney was divine in Giorgio Armani, but we think his golden girl, Stacy Keibler, may have actually upstaged him in a gorgeous, shimmery, off-the-shoulder gown from Marchesa.
There was a lot of buzz about The Tree of Life star Jessica Chastain's choice--she made both Best and Worst Dressed lists--but we love, love, love the Alexander McQueen gown the Best Supporting Actress nominee chose. That gold overlay is positively divine!
We adore Natalie Portman and we totally adore this look on her. The Dior gown is a little bit sweet, thanks to the polka dot design, and a little bit sassy thanks to the fiery red color.
The way The Help actress Octavia Spencer's crystal-embellished Tadashi Shoji gown shimmered and sparkled reminds us of a flawless diamond. And that is exactly how the Best Supporting Actress nominee looked in it--flawless.
Spencer's The Help co-star Emma Stone presented in a lovely Giambattista Valli gown with a dramatic oversized neck tie. We love that color on the redhead. Louis Vuitton jewels and minaudiere were dazzling complements.
Mint (as in the color) is having a moment. The Artist star Berenice Bejo chose a mint Elie Saab gown that looked splendid with her hair color and tanned skin. The matching Swarovski clutch she paired with it was the icing.
