When you think of trendy fashion outpost Urban Outfitters the words "hip," "cool," "fun," and maybe even "off kilter" may come to mind; "bridal" almost never does. But Urban Outfitters, Inc. (owner of UO and its more sophisticated sister, Anthropologie) wants to change that.
BHLDN, Urban Outfitters, Inc. newest venture, is exclusively for the nuptially-minded. The collection, which launches via an e-commerce site this Valentine's Day, will feature accessories, jewelry, shoes, and of course, gowns. But don't expect the feminine glamour of a Vera Wang creation, or the sophisticated elegance Reem Acra is known for--these gowns are purely UO (think vintage inspirations, bohemian aesthetics, and unexpected colors).
Urban Outfitters, Inc. isn't just peddling wedding and special occasion dresses--they want to help brides with the entire wedding experience. In May, BHLDN will introduce cake pedestals, tabletop, place cards, and decorations on the site, and letter-pressed and engraved invitations will be available next year. Plus, brides can email a team of stylists for advice. The first freestanding BHLDN store will open this August, with more to follow within the year.

Usually, Quicksilver/Roxy makes me think back to 6th grade when all the cool kids were sporting it... but this collection? I just want to snuggle up in those sweaters with a mug of coffee in front of a fire... at least once it's not in the 90's anymore!
