The Prom Advice Scholarship Contest is going on now!
This could be your chance to win one of two full-year scholarships to attend FIDM--worth up to $23,000 each!
Choose from one of two categories:
1) Fashion Design
When celebs hit the red carpet you can bet they'll be wearing the hottest formalwear by the best designers. Pretend you're one of those designers and show off your creative style by designing a Prom gown inspired by the celebrity of your choice!
2) Fashion Merchandising
What's your idea of the perfect Prom shopping experience? Show us by designing your very own Prom boutique. From gowns and accessories to furniture and fixtures, we want to see what the ultimate Prom shop looks like!
Projects are judged on creativity, thoughtfulness, and promise.
Your entry must be postmarked by May 11, 2009. This competition is for High School Juniors and Seniors who reside in the United States.

For the Fashion and Merchandising project does the prom boutique have to have a paticular style of dresses that go with the theme or feel of the store?

For the Prom Asvice scholarship compeitition, I am expected to in roll in FIDM in April and the time of the deadline is in May, should I wait to see if I am accepted?

Alyssa - There is no particular style of dress required for the Prom boutique. Choose whatever style(s) you like, as long as they are formal dresses for Prom.
7smily - You don't have to wait to be accepted to enter the contest. If you win the contest, it means you are accepted into the college.
