Having to re-apply lip gloss or lipstick constantly is an age-old issue for Homecoming and Prom (not to mention everyday!)
I've found the perfect solutions for disappearing lip color.
MAC, my favorite makeup company, has a product called Pro Longwear Lipcolor, which comes in lots of colors. You put on a base coat of color, then brush a sealer gloss as a second coat. Viola! Kissing, eating, and drinking cease to be a problem. (You may have to reapply after eating greasy foods, however.)
The advantage to purchasing MAC is that you can try the colors on at the makeup counter. But if you find the $20 price tag daunting, there are other brands you can try.
For instance, Max Factor makes a similar product called Lipfinity, below, which you can buy at your local drugstore, Target, or through Drugstore.com for less than $10.
Covergirl makes Outlast All Day Lipcolor, for sale at Drugstore.com for less than $9.
Some local stores, such as Target, beauty chain Ulta, and some drugstores will allow you to return open makeup if it doesn't work for you, so check your makeup spot for their policy.
Once you try long-lasting lip color, you'll never go back! --Belissa
