Mix Master

Hey guys - wanna mix it up for Prom?  Take a cue from R&B prince Usher and pair two different patterns together for a look that stands out yet is still surprisingly polished.  Here, he's wearing a houndstooth blazer and vest with a black and white checked tie.  Why it works: Usher stayed in the same color family (black and white), so the suit doesn't look thrown together.  Plus he opted to mix a smaller pattern with a larger print, which is a nice contrast and adds dimension to his dapper look. --Angel

Woot! That's my man Usher right there! He dresses up really well, right? He knows which patterns and colors go together. I admire him for that, and actually, I've been trying to imitate his style. I've been experimenting with my coats and ties for my office and party attire. My wife is my critic for that. I don't go out of our house without knowing her opinion about what I'm wearing.
