Designer Spotlight: Monique Lhuillier

FIDM Grad Monique Lhuillier's glamorous collection is sold in some of the most upscale stores around the world, including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and in her Melrose and Beverly Hills boutiques. "As a woman, I am very conscious of what looks good for different silhouettes," she says. "I didn't even know how to cut and sew before I came to FIDM." A Monique Lhuillier dress was featured on Oprah's "Fantasy Weddings" episode and Lhuillier has quickly become a red carpet favorite, with celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Katie Holmes, and Hilary Swank who dress to thrill in her gorgeous gowns.
